Our Synagogue

Our congregation builds on the traditions of Judaism while respecting and welcoming everyone: lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and gender non-conforming people and allies, people of color, Jews by choice and Jews by birth, interfaith couples and people of all ages -- truly everyone!

Our clergy, Rabbi Denise L. Eger and Rabbi Ross Z. Levy create a hamishe (homey, comfortable) atmosphere, safe for spiritual nurturing and connection.

Congregation Kol Ami distinguishes itself by embodying our name, “Voice of My People.” We joyously seek the common ground between Judaism and the many rich and diverse identities our members hold.

We infuse our Judaic traditions and Jewish thought with inclusion, respect, and welcoming diversity. Here, the new and the traditional, the secular and the spiritual, the present and the past, the realities of life and the exploration of God are given room to reside together.

Music is an integral part of our worship. We express our spirituality through a variety of musical genres including traditional nusach, jazz, pop, contemporary Jewish composers and the latest camp melodies. We see music as an essential and joyful element of every worship experience.
