Pillars

Kol Ami is organized into four Pillars. Our pillars are a chance to be a part of fun, exciting, and meaningful grassroots community activism and to guide the direction of our Kol Ami community. They are open year round to new people. Our goals are strengthening the relationships between our members and welcoming new people into our network, making the world a more just place, realizing our Jewish identity, and building a sustainable synagogue.

Pillar 1:  Engaged Community

Engaged Community Interwoven With Each Other

Our community becomes engaged by:  meeting and getting to know one another, sitting shiva, caring for the sick, volunteering, celebrating Shabbat and holidays, interfaith activities, educational opportunities, and helping develop one another as leaders.

Pillar 2: Tzedek Council

Transforming the World Using Jewish Values

We strive to be the leading temple for Civil Rights and Social Justice, connecting through Mitzvah and members being engaged in their community using Jewish values.

Pillar 3: Creating Jews for Life

Creating Jews for Life

By fostering Jewish learning, honoring the Jewish lifecycle from cradle to grave, and pursuing a rich, meaningful spiritual life through prayer and music, we help our community on the path towards a fulfilling Jewish Life.
