Dear Kol Ami and Friends,
Last week we had an incredible Shabbat filled with tzedek (justice). Huge thank you to Alan Weisbart for organizing both the lunch bag assembly and post carding event to get out the vote. We made over 400 lunches in an hour because so many of you came out to support this holy work. As we learned from Asher Landau from the Hollywood Food Coalition, just one of these lunch bags can help save a life, and transform another human's experience. We also wrote a plethora of postcards to get out the vote in Florida and Georgia. Kol Ami serves our community with love and pride. Thank you to those of you who came out and made this incredible morning so much fun. We stood side by side as we stepped up to make a difference in our local and surrounding community.
Our first in the series of community sichot, was a huge success. We sang and studied, and heard some of my visions for the future of Kol Ami. As a group you really stepped forward to begin creating our future. If you missed it there will be more conversations beginning after the High Holy Days. We invite you to join us next time.
DON'T DELAY, reserve your tickets now for our High Holy Days now! Don't forget to invite family and friends that you think would love our special Kol Ami community. Spots are filling fast and we want you to be able to be with us for our first High Holy Days together. If you are able please consider sponsoring all or part of our High Holy Days experiences. I am inviting you to send in a short story or memory of your loved ones to be integrated into our Yizkor service this year. Please submit HERE
I look forward to seeing you this Shabbat.
