Dear Congregation Kol Ami and Friends,
We have very exciting opportunities for community engagement happening at Kol Ami this Saturday Sept. 14th. Last week during our Shabbat service, we were joined by Asher Landau, Sr. Director of Development and Community Engagement of the Hollywood Food Coalition. It was inspiring to hear how just one lunch that we make together on Shabbats, can make a difference in someone's life. In our history of working with HoFoCo, Kol Ami has put together over 6000 meals. Come out and join us at 12pm and help us pack lunches.
Simultaneously there will be an opportunity to write postcards in support of getting the vote out in Georgia and Florida, on behalf of The Religious Action Center. Join us and help make a difference in these upcoming elections.
I also want to invite you to be with us for a community sicha (conversation) from 2:30-3:30pm at Kol Ami. Together the community, temple leadership and I welcome you to be in conversation with us. We will be learning together, talking and sharing thoughts and ideas as one community. Come join us for the first in a series of conversations.
With love and peace,
Rabbi Lindy Reznick
Senior Rabbi, Congregation Kol Ami.
