Dear Congregation Kol Ami and Friends,
The High Holidays are almost upon us. This year our theme is Hineni: I am here. Ask yourself in what ways have you been present for yourself, your community, your loved ones and your relationship with the holy one this year? Please join me for our Elul class to help create an onramp for the High Holidays. Classes begin on Wednesday September 4th online and continue every Wednesday evening in September.
Unfortunately Cantor Patti Linsky is unable to be with us this High Holy Day Season. We’ve included a letter (linked here) from Cantor Linsky to us all. We send her love and support and she will be deeply missed.
I am so thrilled to announce that this High Holy Day Season we will be joined by Cantor Mark Saltzman & Songleader Avishai Sol, who will share their immense musical talents, giant hearts and incredible gifts for song. We cannot wait to celebrate this special occasion with each of you, our Kol Ami family.
I want to invite you to join me and Avishai Sol for Selichot, an experiential contemplative musical experience that is the first of our High Holy Day services on Saturday September 28th at Kol Ami. This is your opportunity to enter into the holidays prepared for the soul work we are asked to do at this time of year.
This year will be very special as it is our first season together. I want to encourage you to invite family and friends to be with us too. May our Kol Ami family grow and inspire all to be a part of this warm and welcoming Jewish community. Please also consider making a donation to help us cover the costs of these sacred days. Every donation makes a huge difference in our ability to bring you many special experiences. Thank you for welcoming me into your family!
With gratitude and much love,
Rabbi Lindy Reznick
Senior Rabbi, Congregation Kol Ami.
