Pride Shabbat (In-Person and Online)
No In-Person Seats Left Friday, June 11 at 6:30 PM Welcome Shabbat with us as we celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride, Friday, June 11, 6:30 PM! We'll have 36 seats available by reservation in our parking lot, and you can also join us streaming to ourFacebook page , YouTube Channel or the temple website. This annual Pride Shabbat celebration will include special songs and prayers that celebrate the fullness of our identity, while we welcome our day of rest. Join us! (This is Rabbi Chaiken’s very last Shabbat evening with us)
Annual Congregational Meeting June 9, 2021 at 6:00 PM Please join us on Zoom as we gather for our Annual Congregational Meeting. This meeting is for members only and you must be in good standing to vote. Good standing means you have paid your dues and commitments for the fiscal year in full. As is our custom, we will review the 2020-2021 fiscal year, adopt a budget for FY 2021-22, and vote on the Board of Trustees slate. REGISTER HERE If you are unable to join us for the Congregational Meeting, please complete the proxy online or download it here and submit it by email, fax, or mail it to the office. All proxies must be received prior to the Congregational Meeting. Please plan to submit your proxy no later than Tuesday, June 8, at 3:00 PM.
Family Pride Shabbat (Online Only) Saturday, June 12 at 11:00 AM Join Rabbi Eger, Rabbi Chaiken, and Student Rabbi Rabishaw for Family Pride Shabbat! We’re going to sing pride-ful songs, tell a story with a pride theme, and talk about being proud. This is Rabbi Chaiken's last Family Shabbat, so please join us as we say "l'hitraot" to him! Online Pride Brunch Sunday, June 13 at 11:00 AM Mix a mimosa and log on to celebrate LGBTQ Pride with Kol Ami! Our celebration will include stories shared from several members of our community, along with reflections and short teachings from our clergy, Rabbi Denise L. Eger and Rabbi Max Chaiken. Havdalah and Art Walk (In-person outdoor event) Saturday, June 19 at 7:00 PM Join Kol Ami friends for an in-person outdoor gathering with Student Rabbi Elana Rabishaw and Past President and executive Committee member WIlliam Weinberger. Meet the artist Kiduck Kim at his installation of art on the median strip in West Hollywood at Santa Monica and Doheny. Hear his vision and interpretation of this breath taking work. Everyone is welcome and you don't have to be a member to attend. This is a no cost event. LET US KNOW YOU'RE COMING
Refugees at Home and Abroad Tuesday, June 22 at 11:00 AM Congregation Kol Ami co-sponsors a HIAS/City of West Hollywood discussion about the unique needs and vulnerabilities of this population and how HIAS and our partners have stepped up to advocate for their human rights and provide lifesaving support.
