a Tisha B'Av Special Program Wednesday, July 29, 7:00 PM Please join us for this special Tisha B'Av program co-hosted by West Hollywood's Congregation Kol Ami and the Israeli-American Civic Action Network, ICAN. While commemorating Tisha B'Av, we will welcome special guests Grant Gochin and Silvia Foti, speaking about state-sponsored Holocaust denial in Lithuania. Grant Gochin asked the question – "who murdered my family during the Holocaust" and discovered that the murderer is a current national hero of Lithuania. Silvia Foti was asked by her mother to write the biography of her national hero grandfather, only to discover that he was one of the worst genocidal murderers of Jews during the Holocaust. Silvia Foti's grandfather murdered Grant Gochin's family. They have come together to tell the awful truth of how their families have been connected for the past 100 years and how the Lithuanian government has engaged in a massive cover-up to implement the tenth stage of genocide: denial. In this special discussion, we will explore with Gochin and Foti their paths to the discovery of this cover-up, and how it impacts the real world today. Register here.

Please help us continue our support of the families in the village of San Antonio Aguas Calientes, Guatemala. Students continue to participate in school either through the Internet or class assignments. Guatemala’s coronavirus cases are dramatically increasing each day. Many families are struggling without work and weaving sales. Since there is no government or community support, Nueva Generación has started a Food Drive Campaign to provide food the families on a monthly basis. Donate here and in the note section indicate: Guatemala Fund Donation. Kol Ami continues to sponsor the scholarships for Jared and Mario pictured above.
