Our Honorees

STUART L. LEVITON, ESQ.
The inaugural presentation of the John Altschul Leadership Award
 
Stuart L. Leviton, Esq. is the inaugural recipient of the John Altschul Leadership Award, named for Kol Ami’s founding president, John Altschul. Stuart is an accomplished lawyer, both as a practitioner and a teacher. As a past president of Congregation Kol Ami, Stuart’s Jewish values serve as a moral compass and guiding principle in every aspect of his life. Stuart is a past national president of Men of Reform Judaism and a former trustee of the Union for Reform Judaism. Stuart continues to serve on various non-profit Boards, both Jewish and secular. Stuart and his husband, Herb Schultz, are avid theatre enthusiasts, and they live, along with their bichon frise, Cornelius, in Palm Springs.
 
DR. SUSAN IGDALOFF
Spirit of Kol Ami Award
 
Dr. Susan Igdaloff will receive the Spirit of Kol Ami Award for her outstanding volunteerism at Congregation Kol Ami. Susan had a private pediatric practice for two decades and was a co-founder of the pediatric after hours clinic at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center. After leaving private practice, she worked for Children’s Medical Services, the State of California and then as medical director for Aetna Insurance before retiring in 2016. The oldest of three children, Dr. Igdaloff grew up in an observant Reform Jewish home in Toledo. An avid traveler, with an interest in photography and genealogy, Susan is a founding member of Congregation Kol Ami, served on the Board in the early 1990s, has been a steady member of WOKA, and participated on the Education and Social Action Committees and Book Circle. Over the years, Dr. Igdaloff presented several multi-session classes and education programs to our congregation.
 
GLENN ROSENBLUM
Allan Rich Award for Exemplary Achievement in the Arts & Humanities
Glenn Rosenblum is this year’s recipient of the Allan Rich Award for Exemplary Achievement in the Arts and Humanities. As a member of Congregation Kol Ami since 2001, Glenn has served as a member of the Board of Trustees, Gala Co-Chair, MOKA President and in numerous Purim Shpiels! Glenn is a musical theatre actor, celebrity talent broker, and business owner. He has developed a specialty as a Broadway Musical Lecturer and Cabaret Performer. His Broadway Showstoppers classes have enriched our spirits and souls during the Pandemic. He met his partner, Mark Freeman, through Congregation Kol Ami member Allan Rich. For this alone, it is an honor to receive the Allan Rich Award for Exemplary Achievement in the Arts and Humanities!
