Welcome Home Sukkot

Saturday, September 30, 2023 15 Tishrei 5784

3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

What stories do you have to share about feeling at home and having a sense of belonging?  The Sukkah is a temporary dwelling in which we can still feel safe and known.  Join us to reminisce about the places that have felt like home to you and the people to whom you know you belong.  On Sukkot, we invite our dear ones (in body or spirit) into the Sukkah, recall why they are special to us and how they touched our lives.

This week-long joyous festival is meant to bring families, friends and communities together, to celebrate the fall harvest.  At the same time, we remember how G-d provided for the Jews while they spent 40 years in the desert after escaping slavery in Egypt.  In our contemporary time, we can give thanks for the many blessings that fill our lives, make us feel at home and connected to one another.

Please bring a snack to share and a story, or just come and listen.

Eric Isenhower will facilitate this program that is brought to you by the Program Committee, chaired by Yaffa Hughes.
