Congregation Kol Ami marks Tisha B'Av with an education program online on Zoom. 

 

Tisha B’av is a day associated with many tragedies which have befallen the Jewish people since the beginning of time. It especially commemorates the destruction of the First and Second Temples. Tisha B’av is about loss, grief and mourning. This year we will gather online on Monday August 12th at 7pm PST. We will learn about this important holiday which helps us end last year and turn towards the high holiday season and the work of teshuva. 

 

Join Rabbi Lindy Reznick and Cantor Nancy Cohen for a heartfelt reckoning of our communal day of grief and loss. We will read modern laments and hear eicha (The Book of Lamentations) chanted. Together we will experience the Torah of Grief. We hope you will join us for this special memorial program.
