Tacos and Tefillin

Sunday, October 24, 2021 18 Cheshvan 5782

12:30 PM - 2:00 PM

Join the Open Yad Project at the Congregation Kol Ami rooftop for some tacos and a bit of text study!

We'll be diving into tefillin, those black leather boxes and straps you might've seen at the Chabad house or on birthright. We'll discuss the origins of tefillin, why many Jews don't use them when they pray anymore, and some of the...NSFW meanings interwoven with this Jewish ritual.

PLEASE KNOW THAT ALL GENDERS ARE WELCOME!

Hope you'll join us!
