Shabbat Chanukah South of the Border Service

6:30 PM - 8:30 PMJoin our clergy for Kol Ami's signature #BeTheLight Shabbat Chanukah. Bring your chanukiah for our traditional community candle lighting outdoors! Then come inside for a musical Chanukah service. Following services, we will return outside to enjoy latkes and churros (provided by Kol Ami). A festive Mexican food truck will be offering meals for purchase.
This event will be a combination of indoors and outdoors, so please make sure you bring a jacket!

Stephen Brickman is a Songleader, Educator, and Songwriter based in Los Angeles, CA. He is the founder of the Sing-Together Project, a communal singing initiative that focuses on building and empowering communities, and uses music to have a positive impact on the world. From Jewish summer camps and youth movements to house concerts and synagogues, Stephen has been exploring music’s role in spirituality and culture and how it connects people to each other. Born in New York City, Stephen consults on and leads music programming for groups across the country. Some partners include Pressman Academy, The Rashi School, and BBYO. He holds a B.A. in Religion Studies, and graduated cum laude, with a minor in music from Muhlenberg College. Through this idea of creating immersive, singable music experiences, Stephen has written and produced records in both Nashville and Boston, including three albums of his own.
