Want to learn to blow the Shofar?  Join us, and our special guest Jennifer Spier,  for our free class to learn this High Holy Day tradition.  Learn the Shofar calls and how to get the best results through proper breathing, and lip and tongue formation. 

Jennifer Spier is an active freelance oboist, teacher, and oboe repairer in the Los Angeles area.  Fifteen years ago, her synagogue needed someone to blow the shofar for High Holidays.  The temple president handed her a shofar to see if she could “figure it out”.  Relying on her wind instrument background, she not only figured it out but has been blowing shofar at the High Holidays ever since.
