Selichot
Saturday, September 13, 2025 • 20 Elul 5785
7:00 PM - 8:30 PMJoin Rabbi Reznick, Rabbinic Intern Rebeca Orantes, anc cantorial solists Ronni Mardor and Adina Henry for the Selichot service at Kol Ami.
The Hebrew word selicha means “forgiveness.” The plural form of the word selicha is selichot, a word traditionally used to refer to additional prayers for forgiveness recited during the month of Elul (through Yom Kippur).
Selichot services are intended to guide us toward an examination of our lives and to undergo teshuvah. These prayers and poems for mercy are usually recited before dawn, before the daily shacharit (morning) service.
Our Song Circle and Hineni Collective will join us to bring music and song to celebrate the evening.
Weather permitting we will be on the roof deck under the stars. Please dress accordingly.
