Pickle Making & Trans Allyship Havdalah

Saturday, November 9, 2019 11 Cheshvan 5780

5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Ever wonder what’s the deal with Jews and pickles? Join our 20s & 30s community, Open Yad Project, for our monthly Havdalah for an exciting night learning the ancient art of Jewish pickle-making, while Dayne Samuels (they/them) leads a conversation about trans allyship and our role in celebrating the trans folks in our community! Just as cucumbers transform to pickles, we can all find transformative ways to become better allies rooted in our Jewish tradition. We will be hosted at a private residence in Silver Lake with address provided the week of the event to all those who RSVP by Thursday, November 7. We’ll serve light snacks and refreshments, and everybody will go home with their own jar of pickles! Suggested donation: $10 per person.
