While we are in unprecedented times in this country, we are also in familiar territory.  Anti-semitism, authoritarianism, and an American oligarchy are on the rise.  Immigrants and minorities are being stripped of rights, and due process is being denied to citizens and non-citizens alike.  Many of us are reminded of Germany in the late 1930’s.  We are in sad and frightening times, but we must not be apathetic, and we must do our part to repair the world.

 

In honor of Kol Ami's long history of tikkun olam and tzedek, we are announcing the formation of The Justice League, where members of Kol Ami can come together as a community to collaborate and share our concerns about the state of our country, and our ideas about how to effectively respond to it with the goal of raising our voices and fighting for social justice. 

 

The Justice League is a new community group at Kol Ami for people of all ages, genders, ethnicities, and backgrounds who are passionate about social justice, want to  collaborate to make a difference in the world, and to respond clearly and effectively to the issues that are troubling us all.
