Kol Hashamayim

This year marks the 5th year for Kol Hashamayim, The Voice of Heaven music series at Congregation Kol Ami. We are pleased and excited to once again present an ecclectic and interesting variety of performances in the upcoming year. February will showcase the talents of two of the brilliant local pianists from "Piano Spheres", Mark Robson and Vicki Ray in a concert devoted exclusively to the repetoire of piano for four hands. April brings the internationally reknown Jewish Moroccan singer Claude Afota and his orchestra to Kol Ami for a fascinating excursion into the exotic rhythms and melodies of Africa, France and the Mid-East. The final concert of the season will feature the much awaited premiere of Cantor Steve Richard's new opera "The Book of Ruth". Look for the dates for all of these once in a lifetime events in upcoming mailings and e-Koleinu's.

Mitzvah Day/Big Sunday—Sunday, May 6, 2007

Join Kol Ami, Temple Israel, and other area synagogues and churches for this hands-on day of learning and social action. Feed the homeless, visit the sick, clothes the poor, work with seniors, beautify our city, paint a school – these are just some of the many opportunities available on this day of giving to others.  Registration required.  Last year over 140 Kol Ami members and our religious school participated! This year be one of them!
