Thanksgiving at Triangle Square - Thursday, November 24th

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and it is time once again to sign up to help bring joy and happiness to our elders at Triangle Square. They are anxiously awaiting our Annual Thanksgiving Feast. Please volunteer to help make a difference this Thanksgiving for our LGBT seniors!

Here's what we need:
 
FOOD:
Turkeys, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Stuffing, Green Beans, Corn, Salad, Dinner rolls, Desserts, Whipped Cream, Drinks (especially diet), Ice, Ice Chest, Plates, Dessert Plates, Napkins, Utensils (knives, forks, spoons), Hot / cold cups, To-go boxes 

VOLUNTEERS:
Set up...8:30 am - 10:30 am
Shift one...11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Shift two...1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Break down...3:00 pm - 5:00 pm    

MONETARY CONTRIBUTIONS: 

Any amount will be greatly appreciated

For those of you who have helped in the past, you already know what an incredible celebration this event is for the volunteers as it is for the residents.

SOVA

Sunday, November 13th, 8:30AM - 12:00 PM

Join us for our next Sunday at SOVA's new location at 1140 N. La Brea, one block south of the synagogue. Followed by brunch, near by. You can also volunteer at SOVA the rest of the month Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30AM - 1:30PM.

Thanks to everyone who brought donations during the High Holiday Food Drive.  In these hard economic times, people are still in need.  Please remember to bring non-perishable items to the SOVA barrels in the synagogue lobby. High priority items include individual juices, dry cereal, canned beans,baby food and low sodium soups as well as toiletries especially diapers, toothpaste & toothbrushes. Please no glass containers!

Most importantly, if you are in need, please remember that SOVA's services are here for you.

AIDS WALK L.A. - Sunday, October 16th 

Team Kol Ami walked on as part of a Jewish community contingent led by the Israeli Consulate.  Our team comemorated Kol Ami's 20th anniversary as well as honored Kol Ami's commitment to Social Justice and the fight against AIDS. 

We raised over $4K - thank you to all of those who participated and so generously sponsored our team.  You can still make a general team donation through November 11 by clicking here;
