Men of Kol Ami
The Men of Kol Ami (MOKA) promotes the spirituality, education and social engagement of Congregation Kol Ami’s Brotherhood. We welcome, invite and encourage all men of the Congregation to be a part of MOKA.
MOKA provides a wide range of activities throughout the year, including a Sukkot Dinner under Kol Ami's rooftop Sukkah, a Chanukah Celebration, a Brotherhood Shabbat, and a Summer Pool Party. Mitzvah projects such as the distribution of Memorial Candles at the City's Annual Yom Hashoah Event, as well as cultural and social activities, created by MOKA members, round out our programming.
Through many MOKA events supported by our Brotherhood, we are proud and dedicated to support local and national charities, our Congregation, as well as improving the world (Tikkun Olam), and promoting justice and charity (Tzedakah).
MOKA is a member of the Men of Reform Judaism (MRJ).

Mazel Tov to Steven Jacobson named the MOKA Man of the Year!
Steven is being honored not only for his service to MOKA in 2011, but for his overall commitment to Congregation Kol Ami since joining the temple. Jacobson is a former Social Action Committee Chair and devoted volunteer at SOVA, the Jewish Family Services Food Pantry. For the past two years, Steven has chaired MOKA's most successful fundraiser. Most recently, in 2011 he single-handedly chaired the event while working in San Diego and training for a marathon.

Steven was officially honored at the Men of Reform Judaism's Regional Man of the Year Award Banquet at Temple Adat Shalom (Poway, CA) on Saturday evening March 3, 2012.
